Who is GCM Consultants?
We are a local engineering firm that has been helping customers in all industries with engineering, operations and maintenance since 1994. We measure our success by the continuity of our work with all our clients. We are always on the lookout for new projects that push the boundaries of creativity.
On a daily basis, you will:
- Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate work with project teams.
- Prepare technical documentation including: specifications, design criteria, P&IDs, schematics, loop drawings, instrument data sheets, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, installation details, cable lists, instrument lists, and equipment lists.
- Develop and prepare instrumentation procurement packages.
- Assist in field engineering and commissioning.
- Maintaining client relationships and business development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in instrumentation or automation engineering (or equivalent).
- Member or eligible member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).
- Minimum 3-10 years of experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office application software.
- Availability to travel to serve our clients in Regina and the rest of Canada.
- Spoken and written languages: English.
If you have these qualities:
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- The ability to quickly converge in problem solving.
- Knowledge of industrial automation (an asset).
- Knowledge of PLC programming, human-machine interfaces (HMI), distributed control systems (DCS) and safety systems (an asset).
- Knowledge of electrical circuits and power distribution (an asset).
- A keen sense of resourcefulness.
