Who is GCM Consultants?
We are a local engineering firm that has been helping customers in all industries with engineering, operations and maintenance since 1994. We measure our success by the continuity of our work with all our clients. We are always on the lookout for new projects that push the boundaries of creativity.
On a daily basis, you will:
- Help lead/mentor a team of junior and intermediate engineers.
- Participate in business development and build client relationships.
- Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Prepare proposals for instrumentation and controls.
- Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Supervise the preparation of technical drawings.
- Carry out site visits and inspections.
- Participate in P&ID reviews.
- Produce control valve specifications.
- Develop test procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in instrumentation or automation engineering (or equivalent).
- Member or eligible member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).
- Minimum 10 years of experience.
- Availability to travel to serve our clients in Regina and the rest of Canada.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office application software.
- Spoken and written languages: English.

- Knowledge of industrial automation including instrumentation, control systems, and communication systems.
- Knowledge of PLC programming, human-machine interfaces (HMI), distributed control systems (DCS) and safety systems (an asset).
- Knowledge of electrical circuits and power distribution (an asset).
- A keen sense of resourcefulness.
