Who is GCM Consultants?

On a daily basis you will have to:

• Design and produce control drawings and control panel layout drawings.
• Prepare cost estimates and specifications.
• Produce instrumentation specifications.
• Conduct plant surveys.
• Establish and define project technical standards.
• Participate in P&ID reviews.
• Collaborate with client’s teams.
• Develop test procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in automated production engineering or DEP or DEC in Industrial Electronics Technology or other equivalent training
• Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (asset)
• Experience with AutoCAD software.
• 2 to 10 years of experience in the field
• Must be able to travel by own means between plants

You are the one we’re looking for if you have:

• Excellent teamwork skills
• The ability to quickly converge in problem solving
• Knowledge of industrial automation (an asset)
• Knowledge of PLC programming, human-machine interfaces (HMI), distributed control systems (DCS) and safety systems (an asset)
• Knowledge of electrical circuits and power distribution (an asset)
• A keen sense of resourcefulness
• Fluency in French and English required occasionally since the person will collaborate with colleagues and clients outside of Quebec, both written and oral.
