SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER

On a daily basis, you will have to:
- Participate in project definition and concept development (conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering)
- Establish the design basis of projects
- Supervise and perform as needed mass and energy balance calculations, process simulation, process diagrams (P&ID) preparation, hydraulic calculations, and selection and sizing of equipment and piping
- Ensure the quality control of the various deliverables in the project process
- Supervise project process engineers (junior and intermediate) at the technical level
- Organize interdisciplinary coordination
- Perform technical coordination with the project managers and with the clients
- Coordinate the various project tasks
- Track and control the budgets of hours and project deadlines of the project’s process deliverables
- Participate in business development for our clients in Eastern Canada
- Act as the main contact for process people for some clients
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in the field of Oil & Gas (refining). Consulting engineering experience is an asset.
- Capable of managing a portfolio of small- to large-scale, fast-paced projects (average duration of 6 to 16 weeks)
- Bilingual: French and English (spoken and written)
- Available for occasional short trips (1 to 2 weeks) in Canada

- Process design experience
- Knowledge of process simulation software (HYSYS, Pipe-Flo)
- Knowledge of project management (an asset)
- Excellent ability to work on a multidisciplinary team
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lead a work team
- Ability to hold discussions with clients
- Familiarity with process safety management concepts: change management, safety review (What-If, HAZOP, LOPA)
