Our client in the field of renewable energy in Montreal is looking for a risk coordinator.
Upon your arrival, you will support the Project Management Office (PMO) team in implementing Risk Management activities on our projects in accordance with corporate procedures. You will report directly to the Risk Manager, PMO and to the Project Control Lead for risk management activities related to the project you will be assigned to. Your role and responsibilities will be the following:
- Prepare the Risk Management Plan included in the Project Execution Plan (PEP). This Risk Management Plan will be tailored to the specific project phase and Client requirements;
- Ensure implementation of corporate risk management procedures on the project taking into consideration the requirements of the project phase;
- Provide training to project personnel on corporate risk management procedures and on specific instructions related to risk management activities on the project;
- Organize, facilitate and document Risk identification sessions including the assignment of risk owner by the Project Manager for each risk identified;
- Ensure that a mitigation plan has been developed for each risk identified;
- Follow-up and provide the status on mitigation plans established to reduce and/or eliminate risks;
- Maintain / update the information recorded in the Risk Register Template;
- Prepare cost risk evaluation (Montecarlo simulation) using the software @Risk;
- Recommend with the participation of the Project Manager, which suppliers and contractors should be required to implement and report on a formal risk management process;
- Ensure the implementation of Risk Management process with suppliers and contractors;
- Chair the Monthly Risk Management Meeting with the Project Manager;
- Provide the input on Risk Management activities included in the Monthly Project Progress Report;
- Organize a meeting (frequency every six months) chaired by the Risk Manager of PMO in order to look backwards at the Risk Management Process over the last six months for opportunities of improvement and to record lessons learned;
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in Engineering and a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec Or B.A.A. degree from a Canadian University
- From 3 to 10 years of related experience
- Experience in project in the heavy industry, energy, or mining sectors
- Knowledge of the following standards: ISO 31000 or PMI or AACE
- Knowledge of Risk Management principle and process
- Experiences in building a Project Risk Register
- Available for short- and medium-term trips outside the office
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite and other applications, databases and interfaces
- Relevant experience in project management, cost estimates, writing reports and troubleshooting
- Bilingual (English and French)
