On a daily basis you will:
Engineering:

• Carry out the design and detailed engineering of projects in an industrial environment.
• Establish design foundations and develop concepts.
• Size and select equipment.
• Evaluate project costs.
• Define and apply the technical standards required for the project.
• Prepare specification lists.
• Prepare and seal quotes, drawings, and tenders.
• Work as a team with the mechanical group and project teams.
• Coordinate project activities as a representative of the mechanical discipline (Mechanical Lead).
• Guide junior engineers, CPIs or other engineers and review their work.
• Ensure quality control of the deliverables produced by the members of the mechanical project team.
• Develop the work plan of the discipline in terms of deliverables and deadlines for the realization of the projects.
• Carry out projects according to the established plan.
• Manage the hour budgets of the mechanical team on projects.

Business Development:

• Maintain relationships with VLD clients and foster business opportunities.
• Develop and maintain a business network in the Trois-Rivières and Bécancour region.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
• Member of the professional order of engineers of the province (OIQ).
• 10+ years of industry or engineering experience.
• Client management experience.
• Experience in piping and pressure equipment or industrial equipment.
• Consulting engineering experience.
• Knowledge of ASME codes and API standards.
• Bilingual (French and English spoken and written).
