As part of your job, you will be required to:
Technical Management:
- Participate actively in marketing activities through technical credibility in your field of expertise.
- Prepare and follow up on the department's service proposals.
- Approve programs for the discipline (by market niche or business unit) and ensure the quality of deliverables.
- May be responsible for the analysis of non-conformities and for implementing corrective or preventive actions
Human Resources Management:
- Define the training needs for the discipline and plan the training according to the budget.
- Act as a technical reference to support the team in the execution of the mandates.
- Participate in the welcoming of new employees as an integration sponsor or discipline companion.
- Contribute positively to the team's work climate in order to have motivated and inspired employees.
- Participate in management activities to assist the management team (e.g., contribute to the hiring process, facilitate meetings, provide feedback for performance assessment.
- Occasional: Acting as interim Director or Assistant Director from a production perspective.
Project Execution:
- Acting as a Disciplinary Lead.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the instrumentation and control sector.
- Strong interest in managing people.
- Experience in consulting engineering (asset).
- Good organizational and planning skills.
- Good listening skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual: French and English (spoken and written).
- Available to travel outside of Quebec.
