Who are we?

On a daily basis, you will:
- Manage environmental projects, including planning deliverables according to schedules, coordinate human resources, do follow-ups with the clients and budget, as well as quality control.
- Coordinate and review permit requests for industrial and mining projects.
- Coordinate a variety of environmental projects for industrial clients, including, but not limited to, mine remediation plans, soil or geochemical characterization studies, atmospheric modelling, noise studies, greenhouse gas assessments and CEM studies.
- Draft study reports and service proposals.
- Support clients in achieving their objectives and finding solutions.
- Follow-up with ministerial authorities to validate environmental requirements related to projects.
- Participate in pre-project studies, preliminary economic studies (PEA), pre-feasibility studies and mining feasibility studies.
- Propose and develop solutions to reduce or eliminate environmental impacts from industrial projects and optimize the positive impacts.
- Ensure that budgets and schedules are respected.
- Act as an advisor and liaison with clients to meet their project objectives.
- Participate in regulatory monitoring.
- Perform all other tasks related to the role.
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of environmental regulations, REAFIE and authorization application forms.
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, geological engineering, mining engineering, water engineering or a bachelor's degree related to the environment or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in the environmental field.
- Spoken and written languages: French and English
Assets:
- Good knowledge of Directive 019, the Fisheries Act, the Guidelines for preparing mine closure plans in Quebec and the permit application process in Quebec.
- Practical knowledge of industrial activities, atmospheric modelling, GHG balances, purification equipment, compensation plans, etc.
- Practical knowledge of mining activities, tailings facilities management, geochemistry, mining contaminants and ecotoxicological problems, and mine site reclamation.
- Knowledge of national and international best practices in environmental management in mining.
- Experience in project management.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
